Having 6 pack abs at 40 is something lots of 40 year old people want. The issue is few of us know how to get abs in the shortest time possible. They spend hours a week doing sit ups. Don’t do just sit ups as there are much more productive execrcises which you could do.

Always remember that getting a 6 pack isn’t easy , it takes work and, it will take some time to get that nice flat stomach you’ve always dreamed of. You will see in time that the effort worth it. To achieve the 6 pack you will have to do different types of exercises. Try to use exercises that hit your stomach from different angles.

Work out what you aim to achieve. To stop yourself from eating junk foods try writing your goal down or hang a picture of yourself somewhere in the kitchen.Picture the abs you want in your mind this will give you the motivation and drive to see it through.Controlling your diet and doing different ab exercises will get you your six pack.

You will already know this. Get rid of junk food! To keep the weight off that you have lost whilst training you need to make sure you don’t keep junk food in your house. If you have got children, start getting junk foods which are healthier.

For a substitute for burger and chips try things like cereals and natural fruit juices.Having a treat now again will not do you any harm. Even though you’re training to get those 6 packs abs nobody says you can’t treat yourself once a week to something sweet.

Cooking healthy matters. You could look on the internet for recipes which will provide healthy meals. Cutting back slightly on carbs can be helpful as well. If your not eating much fruit at the moment start eating more.

All of these things can help you become more healthy. Try adding loads of vegetables to your meals, not only are they good for you, but they will fill you up. Eating meals with no added meat will be more beneficial to you.

Your next step is to get into shape. You could either invest in some equipment and workout at home or think about enrolling in a gym.  You will need a workout that works out your abdominal muscles a lot, but at the same time you will still need to work out your lower back and your sides. You may want to look at programs like the Truth about Abs system, which is pretty popular.

Stick to the workout plan and change it, once you either get bored or you are no longer as weak. You can, even at the age of forty get those 6 pack abs.
