There are many so called hardgainers out there who find gaining muscle very difficult, if not impossible. It is not that they are incapable of putting on muscle, it is just that they are doing the wrong things.

Firstly the routines that you read about in bodybuilding magazines are somrthing to keep away from. These publications are chock full of guys with muscles bulging out of their ears. Following the training methods of the pro's will not give you the muscles that you want.

Professional bodybuilders have genetics which makes it easier to gain muscle compared to the rest of us. Don't get me wrong, they do work hard but their bodies have a pre-determined program for gaining muscle. These guys can train 4-6 times a week because they have a better ability to recover from their training. It is recovery time that makes muscles grow. Training only prepares your body for growth.

If you find it difficult to grow muscle, you need to stop training like the pro's. This is because your genetic make up is different to the pro's. So if you find yourself training 4 times or more a week, stop it. You need a different bodybuilding program.

If you are training more than 4 times a week, your body is never recovering or growing. This means that your muscles are not getting the time that they need to grow, so gaining muscle is something that is always going to be out of your reach.

You should not be doing more than 2 workouts each week. I know the principle of the more you do of something the better you get at it. However when it comes to building muscle, the opposite is true. Remember that muscle grows while you are resting, not while you are training.

Make sure that you follow the principle of having three days rest after a workout. Spend those 3 days eating well and getting plenty of rest. This way when the time comes for your next workout, you will be fully recovered, and you will be slightly bigger. Though this may not be noticeable straight away.

You will also need to change the types of workouts that you bare performing. Your body kicks into overdrive to strengthen your body when more muscles are attacked through your training. However this doesn't mean that you should have more training sessions. It means whole body workouts. Don't train different body parts on different days. The goal is to hit a multitude of muscles in each session.

Again this does not mean doing lots of exercises and lots of sets. You should not train anymore than an hour. During that hour train hard with intensity. Give it all you've got, after all you will have 3 days to rest. Don't do the small isolation exercises. Do the big exercises that hit a multitude of muscles. An exercise that targets a lot of muscles, instead of 1 or 2 will produce more growth. All you need is a handful of exercises.

You won't believe the difference you will see in your body after only a couple of months. Avoid adding extra workouts during the week. If you have been trying to build muscle for years without success, then surely you have to do things differently? Training short, hard, and gettting plenty of recovery time will make gaining muscle a reality.

The meaning of healthy living is not the same for everyone.  However, by and large, there are 2 things that most will agree on.You must include organic food in your diet, and have plenty of exercises. Though this sounds easy it can still be tough for many when they embark on a new plan to be healthy. This is why it is sometimes smart to go ahead one step at a time until you have gotten where you want to be and are comfortable with your lifestyle habits and your health.

A good start is to modify your diet. You have to be careful here, as there is a lot of bad advice out there. If you are not sure of what you should do, the first step is to talk with your doctor about changing your diet for a healthy living, and get proper recommendations from them. They can probably point you to the right and good nutritionist. These diet professional will advise you on the right type of food to eat, what for exercise and what you should avoid. A nutritionist should have an accredited college degree, so don’t be afraid to ask them about their training background and experiences.

If you aren’t very sure about exercise in regards to better healthy living, it is ok. If you are not the type who moves around a lot or active, you can get some great benefits from just walking around the block or your office. After awhile, you can be more daring and head off to a gym. You can get a personal trainer to help get the best training that work best for you if you can afford it. Remember, not all personal trainers are good at guiding people. If you find that person strange and do not like what they are doing for you, move on quickly.
